Chester's Tip:

With GLI having gone to the new liner seam technology, I was concerned about the transition period, and the learning curve on using the air injection system.  Not to worry, the liners we have gotten so far have been well made.  I would, though, caution anyone who believes the hype about seams being invisible. The material being laminated is still  about as thick as a spark plug gap, so you can't make it invisible without overheating the seam.  The edge still is visible, but they have the top side of the overlap so that the edge is toward the deep end, making it less visible from the shallow.  Personally, I never did mind seeing the seams, because that is one of the things that helped to make sure the liner was hung straight,  If the  liner is hung straight the seams will be parallel to the breakpoints.  So let's be honest about it - less visible seams are not going to fool anyone into thinking that you have a concrete and plaster pool.  In fact, if you are embarrassed by having a vinyl lined pool, shame on you!  Concrete pools are not any wetter.
